Still Not South!
Luckily the Isles of Scilly are a very beautiful place to wait for fair winds because we are still here. Somehow we have Westerly swells combined with calms and then Southerly winds. Things are happening out in the Atlantic, probably near Phil and Liz.
Another small matter to attend to was the chart card for France and Spain. These are easily updated on line, so we left it to yesterday to deal with. Easy that is, until the old card fails. Navimaps of Plympton saved us, once convinced of hardware failure (rather than old person brain failure), by sending a new one special delivery. It arrived next day (today) by Royal Mail and works perfectly. Great service, good news.
Today we saw some of St Mary's, which has lovely coastal paths and interesting ruins, not all of them being old people.
Tomorrow the winds are forecast to veer into the West, in which case we'll be away South. The forecast also gives extensive calms to come in Biscay, so Spain may not be our next stop!
